Our goal at 1st Mississippi is to serve our membership and offer the products and services to empower our members throughout their Financial Lives. This Upgrade will give us the tools & the technology to empower our membership to build a better financial future for themselves and their community.

Here are the actions you need to take in order to make this system upgrade as smooth as possible.

Please read this communication guide completely. It is important that you are aware of the System Improvements and any impact it may have on your banking needs. We want this transition to be as smooth as possible for all our members and are providing you with a detailed guide of what you can expect during and after the Upgrade.

  • Plan accordingly. Online Banking will be unavailable starting Monday July 31st at 5:00pm, through Thursday, August 3 at 8:30am.  1st MS branches, in Meridian and Quitman, will be closed, Tuesday, August 1 and Wednesday, August 2. Branches will reopen on Thursday, August 3. Debit card processing will be limited. Be aware of the upgrade timeline and have a secondary form of payment available.
  • Bill Pay payments that need to be delivered to payees by July 31 will need to be created by July 28.
  • Any External online account transfers must be made by July 31 in order to process for August 3.
  • All Transfers scheduled in Online Banking after July 31, will not process. If you have a transfer scheduled during August 1 and August 2, it will not process. You will need to re-create all transfers in the new system.
  • Download e-Statements and save for your records, as needed. You will not have access to your current e-Statements in the new Online Banking.
  • Make note of all current Alerts. The new Online Banking system offers Account Alerts; however, your current Alerts will not be transferred.
  • Bill Pay information will not be carried over to the new system. Please print your current bill pay information before July 31.
  • Remember the Upgrade Timeline. Online Banking will be unavailable starting July 31 at 5:00 PM until Thursday August 3 at 8:30 AM. Branches will be closed Monday, August 1 and Tuesday August 2. Debit cards will have reduced limits. We recommend you have an alternative or secondary form of payment available.
  • Delete the current Mobile App. We will be launching a new mobile app with the System Upgrade. The new mobile app will be available soon after the upgrade. The announcement of the app availability will be posted on our website, social media & by text.
  • Watch for your Statement in the mail. All members will receive a printed statement (even those set-up for quarterly statements). E-statements will not be available after 7/31/23.
  • Enroll in our new Online Banking. Online Banking will be available Thursday, August 3 at 8:30 AM. Online Banking can be accessed from our home page at 1stMS.com using the first-time user option.
  • Watch for a Mobile App announcement. For additional mobile information visit 1stms.com. Announcement will be posted on our website, social media, and by text.
  • Enroll in Audio Banking. Audio Banking will be back up Thursday August 3 at 8:30 AM. Enroll by calling, 833-445-0697.
  • Enroll in Bill Pay. Bill Pay information does not carry over from the old Online Banking system. You can re-enroll once logged into Online Banking.
  • Watch for your Statement in the mail. All members will be sent a paper statement (even those set-up for quarterly and E-Statements).
  • E-statements. If you are currently enrolled in e-Statements, you do not need to do anything. You will automatically be enrolled with the upgrade. If you are not currently enrolled in e-Statements, but you would like to receive electronic statements, please opt-in after you've enrolled in Online Banking by going under Member Services and selecting the E-statement option and follow the steps to enroll.

All branches will be closed Tuesday, August 1 and Wednesday, August 2, 2023

Debit card processing will be limited. We recommend you have an alternative or secondary form of payment available.

MONDAY – July 31, 2023

  • All Branches will close AT 5:00PM.
  • Online Banking, Mobile Banking and Audio Banking will be unavailable starting at 5:00pm. There will be no access until Thursday August 3. Members will need to re-enroll
  • Bill Pay will not be available (starting at 9:00 AM.) Any scheduled payments for July 31 will not process.
  • Any scheduled online banking transfers dated after July 31 will not process.
  • Bill Payments that need to be delivered to payees by July 31 will need to be created by July 28.
  • Any scheduled online banking transfer dated after July 31 will not process.
  • Any External online account transfer (1st MS to another financial institution) must be made by July 31 in order to process for August 3.
  • Deposits made after close-of-business Monday July 31 will not be available until August 3.

TUESDAY – August 1, 2023

  • All Branches will be closed.
  • Any scheduled online banking transfers dated after July 31 will not process.
  • All Shared Branching will be unavailable until Wednesday, August 2.

WEDNESDAY – August 2, 2023

  • All Branches will be closed.
  • Any scheduled online banking transfers dated after July 31 will not process.
  • All Shared Branching will be unavailable until Wednesday, August 2.

THURSDAY – August 3, 2023

  • All Branches will reopen at their regular time. Full in-branch transactions available.
  • Online Banking, Bill Pay, Mobile Banking and Audio Banking will be available starting at 8:30 AM (Please note: You will first need to enroll in new Online Banking.)
  • Our new Mobile App will not be available for a few days after the upgrade. We will announce its availability via Social Media and on our website. 
  • All previous Bill Pay information will need to be entered into the new system for payment.
  • Call Center will open at 8:30AM.
  • We expect heavy call volumes the first few days so you may experience extended hold times. Thank you for your patience!
